Renal Field Service

Baxter provides scheduling and actual onsite servicing of Hemodialysis and Acute Dialysis equipment by qualified Service Engineers. The Field Service Team handles most warrantied and out-of-warranty repairs, including onsite testing, field investigations, and preventative maintenance (see Limitation to Warranty for limitations to equipment warranty and preventive maintenance information).

Hemodialysis and Acute Dialysis equipment field service will be performed during Baxter’s normal business hours at Baxter’s currently stated standard labor rate. Field service performed after Baxter’s normal business hours and on weekends and holidays will be charged at a premium labor rate.

Onsite Service Requests

Call 1-800-553-6898, prompt 3 365 days a year. Please have the following information available:

  • Account number
  • Hospital or facility name
  • Complete service address
  • Contact name and telephone number
  • Date service is required
  • Any special instructions
  • Purchase order number (if applicable)
  • Brief description of problem
  • Model and serial number of equipment

Equipment Service Hours and Charges

Normal service hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday, in the time zone where the service is requested. Field service will be performed during Baxter's normal business hours at Baxter's currently stated standard rate. Field service performed after Baxter's normal business hours and on weekends and holidays will be charged at a premium labor rate.

Limitation to Warranty

The following Limitation to Warranty applies to all equipment except the UV Flash system. Baxter’s sole obligation and customer’s exclusive remedy shall be limited to repair or replacement, at Baxter’s option and expense, of the defective part or unit for a period of one hundred eighty (180) days, except for the HOMECHOICE or the HOMECHOICE PRO system, following the date of initial delivery. Modifications, alternations, recalibrations, or abuse, and service by anyone other than a Baxter authorized representative may void the warranties. Preventive maintenance service and service made necessary by changes to the operating environment or operating parameters of any equipment are not covered under Baxter's standard or extended warranties.
